Well if they don’t own anything, and they’re spending money for what is meant to be ownership, then SHUT EM DOWN!!!

At least they’re doing something to build good will with the community/fans. Its obviously working.
Cool, then shut the whole thing down for racketeering.
Fair point.
My point exactly. I’d love to see/read a Michael Lewis style expose on why it’s only the Packers and how every other team went a different way.
Would they be any different from Cubs fans?
I would ask why that has to even be unique. That franchise is the model for what most NFL teams “SHOULD” but never will, be.
Meanwhile you have a mostly fan-owned team in Green Bay, using the same stadium they’ve had for 50 years - a move from which now would be considered sacrilegious. And everyone’s happy.
If you’re taking into account all media (not just books) I’d say Breaking Bad. It had it’s small amount of detractors, but overall everyone was pretty happy as it really couldn’t have ended any other way.
He has.
Could we consider him the new Gary Oldman in that respect?
Good check. Is it just me, or does anyone else have get increasing “history is doomed to repeat itself” vibe with that?
Wasn’t Glenn Beck building a bioshock rapture/columbia-like city in Texas for exactly this purpose?
Let’s hope the movie adaptation of “Ready Player One” fairs better......
The Greek Mythology was the whole appeal of the series, especially in III.
I don’t comment on deadspin much (usually an io9 guy) but you folks are fantastic! Great summations and references all around.
Thanks!
Thanks! Will check it out.
Ahhh - thanks a ton! That’s the kind of summation I’ve been looking for.
As a huge fan of the NBA in the 90s (not so much now) I remember the Sonics being in Seattle. Do you know the tale of how they ended up moving out? Have always been curious (for more than just a dry wikipedia entry).
