See I actually really enjoyed the first movie. I thought the characters were pretty spot on and it stuck to the core fundamentals that make a good Sherlock story. I was surprised and disappointed that Game Of Shadows felt so lackluster by comparison.

Ditto - Sherlock series 2 can't get here fast enough! No offense to RDJ, I really did enjoy the first SH movie, but Cumberbatch, Freeman, Moffat and Gatis have created THE definitive version of the franchise.

See.......the issue is the story itself is a loud, colorful, nonsensical fairytale. The movie that captured all that, but still got us close to "reboot" territory was Hook. You're not going to sell a story that dithers much farther from the source material than that.

Kevin Bacon was the best thing about this movie! I loved his interpretation of the character (even if his introduction is a little Hanz Landa-ish.)

Yeah but think about it for just a moment. To simply think "because we don't have tourists from the future, means time travel isn't possible" is a stupid assumption. Any number of factors could easily explain why there haven't been, yet time travel was still invented at some point.
