If you consider Back To The Future to be the American version of Doctor Who (which I do), your theory holds true again.

Sly is a great sport. A wonderful contrast to Christopher "Never bathe in the same river" Eccleston.
The kid who plays Matee stole the show. I want to see a spin-off vid about him...
OH! I see what you mean, I thought you were referring to her memory of being at the Lake (assuming it's actually her in the astronaut suit). Moffat's even made it so we can't discuss/debate this stuff amongst ourselves without charting it on a whiteboard!
Couldn't agree more!
I thought the same thing on "The Question." It will be even MORE lame/disappointing if the answer to that question is only whispered or seen by River and not by the audience. She does know his name in the future though, so........the cards are stacked against us on this one.
She remembers - rewatch the scene again. She makes a comment after she shoots at the astronaut.
"we'll have gotten to see River's POV on the events at the lake (which older River appeared not to remember)"

Most of the Captain America ones are insanely good! It's unfortunate studios don't utilize fan talent more often for official campaigns.
I think you're totally missing the point. No one who's complaining cares about Jack being gay - fans of the character have known that was the case since he was first introduced on Doctor Who. In fact his relationship with Ianto provided for one of the best written, dramatic scenes of Children of Earth.
The whole thing has just been awful. Apart from the utter lack of any forward moving plot devices, the production team managed to hire what appears to be the most annoying group of American actors ever assembled into one show. As a result John Barrowman himself is pulling out some of the worst performances Captain…
I'm hoping next season we get to see a regenerated version of Melody Pond (River) having a solo adventure or two while the Doctor is off doing something.
Simply put.....it does not
Is it even possible to sum up the Moffat era with a few buzz words? It has straddled so many different genres and story-types, that there is literally something for everyone - Moffat's true strength as a show runner has been to make these many threads feel connected and part of a greater whole.
ABC needs to be told Stephen Moffat already beat them to the punch with Jeckyl. Which will remain, far FAR superior to anything they can come up with.
In terms of writing...it was too little too late. In terms of direction, acting and photography, it's the same less than average drivel they've been serving up all season. "Children of Earth" this is certainly not.
Was just about to type the same thing. It only stands to further mock legitimate climate science.
Do you think a "non-conflicted Superman" could actually sustain a 2 hour movie though? I've got a wild hunch the bulk of the 140 studio executives who have to throw down their opinion on this movie probably come to that conclusion/question at some point in the process.
Do you feel Christopher Reeve's version of the character satisfied your criteria?
