The getting back together part was a mistake. She’s supposed to be learning some humility and the realities of working in a tough industry.  Leaving school-era relationships behind is part of moving to the next phase of your life (says a guy who married his college girlfriend).

Which is why the Gone Girl “Cool Girl” speech resonated with so many young women. The standard that role sets is a practical impossibility.

Andy is so aggressively dismissive of her job at first that she comes across, not as someone who is just ignorant of the fashion world, but someone who is deliberately trying to tank her own career by being willfully hostile to her employer.

This is such a wildly uneven movie, but when it works, it sings.

All this episode did was remind me how fucked up the writing is for Raj’s character. For 9 seasons Raj never had a stable girlfriend who was part of the cast. And his character is the only one forced to sit on the floor.   Plus they are constantly feminizing his character....the only Asian character on the show.

Or you could just say it's about her career more so than romance. That whole if the lead was dude would you say his romantic partner was his job?
