Modern science and autopsies really killed the poisoning industry. So many excellent poisons are now just too easy to discover from tests. It’s difficult these days to find a poison that can’t be detected.

She’s been trying to kill him for a while. She shot him with a crossbow in 2016.

She should have taken out his plastic surgeon instead.

I am a bigtime user of eyedrops, and the last time I picked up a bottle, the packaging had switched to a childproof cap (one of those push down, then twist varieties - looks exactly the same as the regular cap). There was definitely at least a short while where I saw people being like “oh yeah, visine gives people diarrhea, if you hate them you can put a couple drops in their drink.” I am unsurprised we now have a rash of articles about people doing just that (or worse).

It’s perfectly okay for left candidates to “reach out” to the moderates and centrists but it needs to be “We’ll work with you toward our common goals and needs” and not “We’ll accommodate your fear of change.”

I will also add that I just remembered I once talked to her about donuts at the coffee and donut table at a local democratic ward meeting. She went for the neighborhood place’s stuff over Dunks, because she is a community minded lady.

I cave remember the last time I was so excited to vote in a primary; 2008, maybe? I am SO excited she won, and not at all surprised. This is what happens when people who say they care about these things both run for office and also actually show up to vote. Onward to November, when I really hope people understand that voting is really fucking important.

Pretty much my entire adult life, I’ve been hearing about how leftists are “too extremists”, and how they need to “tone it down”, and “woo the centrists” and assorted other bullshit.

Do you think the Democratic Party will finally start to appreciate African-American women, who are the base of the party? Or start to realize they don’t need to be the Republican Lite party to win?
