“Widely hated” does not describe MoS, BvS, OR SS. No mater how much people wish to say that. Hated by a fair number of people? Sure. Liked by a lot of people. Also true. Middlingly enjoyed as the Ultimate Cut by yet others? Yep.

Sure.
We are discussing the topic from opposite sides...and I’m a troll now? Interesting. Your definition of “troll” is “someone who disagrees with me and asks if I’m mad”?
“Yes, set up so poorly that a ton of fans have no interest in a continuation of that version.”
So we just ignore how lambasted The Incredible Hulk was, or Thor 1 and 2? Or Cap 1? Or IM2 and 3? Like come on.
This is accurate for my view. I like those films, but pretending like they aren’t cookie cutter is detrimental to the brand. It SOUNDS like they are finally doing that. I hope Black Panther isn’t cookie cutter. They need to allow their directors more are reign like they gave Gunn.
Right, and BvS set up Batman, and Wonder Woman set up Wonder Woman...Superman had already been set up. JL will set up Flash and Cyborg.
I’d argue that it only worked in the short term. I’d also argue that the MCU has a fair number of stumbles in Phase 1 & 2 that everyone CONVENIENTLY forgets. But never mind eh? Righteous Fanboy Rage Commenting!
Nice. U mad? U seem mad.
This assumes that I know or have inner knowledge of what they have planned. I don’t. But if you think a multi-billion dollar film company has no plan...I think you’re dreaming.
This assumes a few things.
I’m glad you’re here to tell me “what he means”. I mean he could have said it himself...but he didn’t. And here we are.
“DC on the other hand has only put out one good film.”
“DC on the other hand has only put out one good film.”
No, the GOTG films have both had stronger villains than anyone other than Loki in the MCU.
They didn’t quite translate Mignola’s art as well as they’ve done with other animated source material transfers...but this still looks solid.
The assumption that they have no plan is a bit much though. WE don’t know what goes on in their meetings. What Johns has planned, ect. No one is willing to wait and see...everyone wants to armchair pundit DC into oblivion...because they hated a movie or two they did.
That’s indeed your opinion. It’s not mine.
It’s a bit too soon to say whether it’s “working” or not.
...and I mean at this point that’s still a fair place to stand...but I think even if every films from here on out is a success, they will still complain. I just don’t see this subsiding, even if the ship is righted...if that makes sense?
