And here I thought the argument was that Box Office does not equal quality...isn’t that what you lot say when we say BvS made 800mil?

It does no such thing. Critics can like a movie they give a lesser grade to, and vice versa. The “aggregating” number on the side removes that subtlety.
“But yeah, sorry, there’s no possible future in which it will be considered good filmmaking to have Batman and Superman fight for only 8 minutes in a 151 minute film called “Batman V Superman,” and then give up the second they find out their moms have the same name.”
Firstly, you’re aware we aren’t communicating VIA telegraph right?
You think those scores denote good films? a 57% and a 61%? Interesting. Okay man. We clearly disagree about math.
Smashing success is taking it a bit far. They have all been very successful to varying degrees, and with varying reviews. They make bank, and people enjoy them. But make no mistake they are SAFE. Safe as tombs. The Formula is slowly killing them...Ant-Man and Doctor Strange were both showing those cracks, and I THINK…
Incorrect. It’s got a lot of substance.
The same things happen to most film companies. It is what it is. That’s the nature of Holywood...just because we are in on more of it now than we used to be doesn’t change that fact.
BvS is a team-up movie.
So you’re telling me that you can’t introduce a character “In Media Res” and then not tell their backstory in a later movie? Like that’s entirely not allowed?

I was merely using it as a statement...you seemed legit mad that my opinion was so wildly different from yours.
What do you call WW then if not a course correction? Or hiring Whedon to do reshoots and rewrites on JL?
Selective memory. Google some reviews. I like them both too, but there were mucho problems with both according to reviews.
It took the old EU years to make Boba Fett be a viable enough character to make him interesting to read about all by himself...Phasma is still in her “Boba Fett does nothing and just “looks cool” stage”
I sadly sit in the same position. I wanted her to be awesome in TFA, but she was really really less than a nothing character.
Tormund + Brienne = Rey confirmed!
Yes, differing opinions mean “drunkeness”.
Rotten Tomatoes is an aggregate site with zero subtlety for the reviews themselves say, which are aggregated. It is neither a solid metric for what people actually think of a given film, nor a good place to use as any kid of “proof”. A rotten review can talk a lot about a bunch of things they liked in the film, while…
