I don't mind it when in reference to things that are rape-adjacent or that metaphorically allude to rape. When you use it to describe actual rape and rapists though, it really pisses me off.

Yeah it's just specifically the other woman who was raped by an NYPD cop - the jury seemed to think the victim was on trial for aggravated drunkenness.

I was led by the Democrat party to believe my aborted fetus would go live on a nice farm where there's lots of puppies.

A couple previous indicators of Megan's talent for advertising:

That's still not alleged though.

That song Ginberg hated, "It's stabbing me in the fucking heart!"

It brought me back to all the times over the 5 years of the series Peggy's talked about Don taking it out on her when he's upset about something else, like that's just a normal thing she accepts. Don's car accident with Bobby Barrett for example. Or if Don didn't like Ginsberg if she brought him in, Don would hate her

Yeah I think I was thinking of that as being after the awards ceremony, which is wrong. At the same time though, Megan couldn't really fully claim that idea as her own and was getting side-eye from Stan about whether it was even her idea at all. Those kind of obstacles seem to be a reflection of her father's

Oh now I remember the defense that penetration couldn't be proven so it was only attempted rape or something.

Well it depends on whether the victims have been drinking.

I wonder if Pete's going to turn out to be a family annihilator. He's got the gun and the frustrated masculinity complex.

He's not alleged to have done this; he was convicted. #corrections

Have you heard the good news about Jesus? He died for your sins.

That line he says to Harry, "why do they get to decide what happens" had a whole rapey vibe to it. Like why should somebody have the option of saying no to me, that's unfair to my boner. I'm just supposed to "stand at attention" while they make decisions. The whole convo about feeling small and insignificant. Also

"After Don sends Megan off to her girls' lunch, he presses the down button on the elevator (why didn't he just get in the same car as Megan?)"

Because they're misogynist control freaks.

Yes please. It's not a bride shortage or a husband drought or a crisis of any sort that people are making different decisions now than they did in the 1950s.

Libertarians are just Republicans who smoke pot.

Those pants really do rock though.
