So according to the Real Koreans site, it’s a women’s anonymous forum. The site is pro-feminist and anti-misogyny, and detractors accuse them of spreading misandry and hate. I suppose a lot of Nexon people are detractors.

This is absolutely terrible and horrendous, WTF are those companies thinking/doing firing her over a T-shirt she wore that basically says “Not every girl needs to make her life goal waiting for some handsome prince on a white horse” .. Short version being “Girls Do Not Need a Prince”.
And wait, the site that did that isn’t even the one funded by the tshirt. The shirt raised money for a facebook page.
Conservative parts of the society have a really stiff notion about women’s roles and even more so about purity. Even among less conservative people, there’s a strong cultural idea of what a good girl is, what she does, and how she approaches love and romance. There’s this idea of purity, chastity and innocence that is…
I’ve seen this argument plenty of times but I find it very hard to appreciate. It may be “the culture” but it’s still putting down one group over another and that’s bullshit.
THAT is a controversial opinion?! holly hell, are you serious?! what kinda of things are happening in South Korea for that to be true...?!
the linked article details the controversy, and boy is it tame... I expected some form of harrassment, but nope it’s just a website listing inequalities in Korea. I knew sexism was rampant there, but to come to this...
A woman wanting a friend over a hero in a relationship is a rather reasonable opinion no matter where you are in the world today. Obviously there is push back in some places, but Korea is a nation with plenty of modern views on women overcoming archaic ones.
So a voice actress shared a picture of a basic shirt related to a feminist forum and stated she doesn’t need to find someone to rescue her, just someone to mutually care for.
Not to mention the Lovecraftian nightmare necessary to twist the girl in the center’s spine the way it is.
Be careful. Having the above opinion could get you fired.
Welp, that is Nexon off my Christmas card list, what a bunch of numpties.
It doesn’t look extreme or radical in anyway. It just sounds a site that feminists frequent.
