I googled this a few months ago because I wondered how it was that no matter WHAT Barry and co. found in their lockers, they *conveniently* always had an expert they could take the item to for analysis.....
Yup! Or that walls can be painted different colors and rails can be put up so your small children don't go flying down the stairs or whatever. (Or that children eventually GROW for that matter!)
What?! You mean to tell you most buyers IRL don't only look at 3 (3!) homes and then narrow it down to two from which to pick??!!
I was wondering about that, too, but it seems she only served 4 years of her life sentence, thankfully, before the verdict in her first trial was overturned. This poor woman.
HA! I did the same with 'On The Road' (so for all i know it could very well have featured roasted babies!) And on the other hand, 'The Road' was so grim, I think it might've benefitted from double handjobs! Eek. I really liked that book, despite all the horror, yet I'm too frightened to see the movie version which…
I think you're maybe thinking of 'The Road' by Cormac McCarthy? I'm not sure if this Stewart flick is supposed to be based on Jack Kerouac's 'On the Road', but either way, no roasted baby in that one, it's the former.
Whoa! Thanks for clarifying (& making me go cross-eyed with puzzlement in the process! I hadn't remembered that, but homophobic, WTF?!) I'm glad there was backlash in the comments, I mostly remember commentators agreeing with Will's actions.
Odd, because the original Jez article that reported the incident seemed to favor heavily on Will's side (or at least the comments did, from what I remember.) I thought most people were on Will's side on this one (he was defending himself against someone's unwanted advances and he was well within his rights, IMO.)
Yup! Thought the same thing when I read it:

What a wonderful, wonderful comment — thank you for sharing it! Made me choke up a little. LP definitely has a great and thoughtful mom (and you have a sweet and thoughtful daughter — makes sense, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!) Comments like these are what first made me appreciate Jezebel. :-)
omigod. you're a genius. (obviously!)
THANK you!!
I thought Molly just said, "I know who the 3rd person was"? (I only read that tweet from Tweetbeat here last week so I don't know what other tweets she may have written after that.) People were speculating that she may have been referring to herself or others including Bret's good friend Jay McInerey who apparently…
I'm not crazy about the color either, I think it ages her a bit (when you consider the whole package together.)
Yea, the tweets were featured here on Tweetbeat last week and some of the other guesses included Jay McInerney —- what do you think of him as a candidate? I think he and Bret were famously chummy back then, I can sort of see it as well?
I think she wasn't at a salon actually — i read this story elsewhere and she said she was actually at her friend's house. (Her friend is a hairdresser.) She said they were all in a rush because it was right before the holidays and everyone had flights to catch and she was trying to squeeze the haircut in and things…
The actress who plays Marnie is so bad — that's what does it for me, personally. Her acting. Awful. God-awful. That scene when Lena called her at the gallery and she's both crying and laughing? I winced, 'cuz that was some painful shit to watch. Agree on the insufferable range. (Tho I think i'm still OK with…
I wonder if that's one of those words that started out with a certain usage, but has been adapted as something else over time—-I don't think I've ever used it as a verb, but I've heard it used as a verb in other publications ('The school was gifted a new gymnasium by a generous benefactor.') Maybe?
