Taylor Swift is with Sony too and donated $250k to Kesha.

Here’s more:

Even if she wasn’t a 13 year old rape victim. The same hurdles for a 22 year old woman who works for hourly minimum wage at let’s say Taco Bell maybe trying to pay for some community college classes having to travel 500 miles and take three days off work and pay $5000... How does that even work? What happens to her?

I loved the John Oliver piece, and I love John Oliver for doing it. I just wish he’d also addressed how women who are forced to continue pregnancies that they know they can’t deal with are driven into poverty. Because as a dude Oliver can speak to dudes, and if I hear one more dude say something like ‘reproductive

Do you believe she’s ever been sexually attracted to him? Do you think they get each other’s jokes and have long talks and stuff?

They just say that shit to pander to the base, who only say that shit so they can claim their pious “religious beliefs” to shit on women and gays and feel morally superior for it.

What concerns me is as unfathomable as we perceive all the GOP candidates to be, the other half of the country who vote republican think the same thing about Clinton and Sanders.

That whole election cycle. Every campaign was weird or sad in some way. I suppose that’s the case with every election it’s just that one we got to see more of.

Now playing

Did you ever see this documentary Feed about the 1992 Democratic primaries?

I have no idea what situation that would fix but that sounds like him.

I don’t remember him talking about social policy or wanting to kick everybody off of welfare. I remember the really mean stingy righties wanting another Bush term.

I seem to remember people liking him because he was all numbers and no fluffy talk about morning in america or winds of change.

I’m rooting for Kesha to prevail. I just find it unsettling that Mark Geragos is her lawyer. He spent a lot of years as CNN’s talking head celebrity rape apologist. For instance, the Lawrence Taylor case. If he gets Kesha a good outcome, then good for Kesha, but I still don’t like that guy.

The pictures aren’t embiggening, but I think I like the pants in the bottom pic.

Saved to google keep because I’ll forget otherwise. Thank you.

I’m still getting liberal dudes telling me that “reproductive rights are very important but the economy is important to everybody” They’re the ones who need to hear it.

They hate women and use a made-up idea of Christianity as an excuse.

He had a whole thing on state legislatures not long ago.

I don’t really see it as snark. But it’s a serious issue that’s been going on for a long time and Oliver is the first of the mainstreamish male liberalish commentators to say anything serious about it. I’m very glad he said it, it’s just way overdue.

Megyn Kelly’s like a female Bill Maher. Mostly terribly myopic but you can’t stop watching for the times she actually says something smart.
