I can see both being true, where Marina is definitely oversexualized, but also maybe Pearl does look a little too much like a creepy nightmare baby, whereas Callie and Marie were a little more balanced.
I can’t star this enough. There is NOTHING wrong with Pearl. Only people who can only value a female character based on their level of sexual attraction to them.
Pearl won in every japanese splatfest so far. Pearl is extremely likeable in the game, some people just can’t accept that she’s not “waifu material” and prefer a sexualized character. It’s disgusting the amount of hate that Pearl receive for some people in the west.
I can rattle off no less than three other wielders of Mjolnir who took on “Thor” as a title, dating back to at least 1987. This is not a hill you want to die on.
The point is that if you have an arbitrary reason for disliking the doctor - as the other reasons seemingly were - you arent going to set yourself apart from the misogynists/MRAs etc. that are couching their sexism in a similar argument. If you want to be believed to be sincere, you should have a substantive premise…
I know some religious types that I like and respect. I don’t associate with the ‘bad ones’, but apparently they’re out there since our country is currently controlled by assholes that court that crowd.
I’ve said this elsewhere but personally I feel the best possible outcome here is Peggy gets time tossed into the now, survives the movie, and does what she does: enlists in SHIELD. can you imagine how much fun it would be to watch Colson fan boy about her? May and Carter going on missions together? Daisy trying to…
I used to have respect for religious types, even if it was never my thing.
Can’t wait until they release a Dan and the other figures on myself can learn the glory that is Saikyo Style
I struggle when deciding S.H. Figuarts vs figma. I really like the licensed figures for figuarts like the DBZ and Kamen Rider, but I like the figma joints better(with few exceptions) I like the quality and detail that goes into sculpting figma but most of the time it’s for figures I have no interest in(i.e. magical…
This is actually a great PR move from McDonalds.
The argument was probably about the stack. It’s always about the stack.
For all of its larger-than-life, world-changing events, the MCU’s supposed to be a generally realistic place in terms of how most people move through the world, and so it makes sense that the Runaways wouldn’t necessarily bump into Cloak & Dagger.
Ugh I hate these idiots with a passion. They’re a constant scourge on the pagan community. On one side we have these neo-Nazi types with a fetish for Norse (less often Celtic) imagery tied into their racist ideology. Half of them, if you listen and read their stuff, still think in essentially monotheist terms. They…
I have no idea how anyone thought this event was a good idea. I do not know why at least one person didn’t think, “hey, wait a second” or “gee, this might not look so good” and not stop this.
Lifehacker has long been about providing information in areas where rumors, misinformation, or simply a lack of knowledge seems to prevail. Urban myths, exposing life hacks that aren’t actually helpful, and information related to current events are incredibly common.
I have seen many a post like this, but I feel particularly inclined to speak against this argument, on this occasion.
I love the DCAU, but the New 52 ones annoy me for a very specific reason. Look at that picture from Justice League: War. Every male body is the same. Not in the sense that every body in comics is exaggerated in various and sometimes gross ways. I mean they’re identical. A character that runs fast has the same physique…
It’s one of my kinks personally. Don’t get the big fuss.
