Yes. It’s not a continuation of the 80's movies, it’s starting over from square one in modern times. There are cameos from the actors from the old movies, but you don’t *need* to have seen the originals to get the fun from this one.

I only ever played casually, so I had no idea how crazy it got in other formats. As a former Golgari player, it makes me smile.

I plan on seeing the movie. If it sucks, I will absolutely admit it. But I remain hopeful and will reserve judgment until I’ve actually watched the damn thing.
