I agree with you. My rental properties aren't something a family of four on a fixed income would rent. I realistically only explore properties that cater to higher earners or vacation rentals. If the government is involved, I'm not.

I put about $3000 a month with my first house into an investment account with an average return off 12% annually and paid off my first house years ago that was around $240,000.
