I’m currently at a conference with a group of co-workers who primarily communicate over the phone/through email, but only see each other a few times a year. Despite this, we are a pretty close-knit group, and know each other fairly well. This has not stopped our group leader from insisting on “ice breakers” and team…
Jiffy & Tillamookie are the only other 216 girls I think are on here, and I just wanted to tb with them, especially Jiffy since I know you’ve been in midtown at the hospital with your sis.
I’m about to leave for the night (still rocking my Golden Girls tee, uh huh!) and will be home well after the ball has dropped for GTers in the states, so I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone in this community for being what makes this community.
Is anyone up for a little GT group bonding project?! I have a modest proposal: if we-a group of fabulous, independent women (and a few men) -all work together, we can disassemble this amazing house I want to buy, brick by brick...and then reassemble it 50 miles closer to civilization! And you can all totally stay over…
All Soul’s Night, 1917
The best holiday is almost upon us! Celebrations are starting early ‘round these parts, and next year, I’ve decided to just take the week off.Tonight we’re goijg to see The Shining on the big screen, tomorrow night there is an old-timey seance to attend, Friday we’re doing a group event through downtown Cleveland with…
We’re going to the World Series!! The parade will be Thurs, Nov 3rd...CAN WE BEAT 1.3 MILLION PEOPLE DOWNTOWN?!?!?!
I know we regularly share Twitter handles and occasionally emails, but are there any GTers on IG that are willing to share?
How visible are you on the interwebz, dear denizens of GT? YOU you, not the anonymous kinja you. Are you easily searchable? Does a google search of your name yield a full page of results? Or do you strive to keep a relatively low profile?
Scene at the Blue Box yesterday:
Any BTP listeners here? (I know there’s at least one, but I can’t remember who it was.) I just finished season 2 and I feel so annoyingly let down. I powered through the second season this week, while I was processing and canning pears, so at least I got the pears done, I guess?
I feel like it’s been ages since we’ve had a post like this (even though a cursory search shows we sort of had one in July. womp womp!)
So I received a postcard this past week alerting me to a class action suit I could potentially be a part of. The settlement is $18M to be paid out to claimants nationwide.
Rain has put my grand plan of laying in the sun and reading a book on soggy hold. So I figured I may as well start planning dinner!
Let’s be real: the most honest moment of this entire
circus convention is the Stones song that played The Donald off stage.
I’ll be in Detroit for a Saturday later this month. I have a mid afternoon meeting in Royal Oak, and then dinner plans at The Whitney early in the evening. At this point, my hotel reservation is either going to be the Aloft in Detroit, or somewhere in Royal Oak.
Pokemon Go logged me out of the app today, and now I’m forced to start from scratch. After several days of hiking into creek beds and prowling around graveyards.
I’ve been home on staycation this week, and I’ll be off most of next week too. I’ve been doing... pretty much nothing. And it’s been great! Yesterday I made crepes with fresh fruit and a drizzle of hibiscus honey. I took my almost-niece to phantom of the opera last night, and got our seats upgraded to boxes, then I…
ETA: For those who asked, the cake is:
So through happenstance, I’m going to be seeing Phantom of the Opera approximately 8 times over the course of its 3 week run in my city.
