Gender and sexuality are different. There are plenty of gay folks who have no time for trans.

I kind of want to be exiled to the desert, just so long as it’s not near Phoenix I was already exiled to Phoenix for 8 years and finally pardoned for good behavior. Can I be exiled to a nice desert, like Palm Springs? Do we get to choose?

Back when we were REALLY afraid of technology...what if HAL fell in love with your girlfriend?

No. That is wasteful, plus the bristles are too stiff. Just take your old toothbrush and boil it to sanitize it and remove remnant bits of toothpaste and plaque.

It happens. Progressives say things that piss people off on college campuses as well. Not as often as conservatives. But really, I don’t believe it fair to call Ms. Greer conservative. She may be a TERF (trans-exclusionary radical feminist), but not a conservative.

It was a fun episode and a fun and lovely conclusion to the problem last week’s episode presented. I had a good time watching and liked the 4th wall breaking very much. It wasn’t the best episode of the show ever, but nowhere near the worst (I’m looking at you, Colin Baker...). And it had lovely amounts of Capaldi,

Great story in a great little anthology with a story by Mr. Stephen King and another by Dan Simmons (“Vanni Fucci is Alive and Well and Living in Hell”...a brilliant tale by a brilliant author).

Methinks somehow with more than a few day’s planning to get a guy who drills oil wells up to the surface of the most horrifying meteor ever, those charged with the coring of Psyche might have more advanced technology at their disposal...and more advanced personnel than the rugged Mr. Stamper and his crack team.

Did the show win a special effects Emmy for its visual effects?

These are different things, you know.

Is there a German word for this? We can steal the German language ability to wrap up complex emotions into complex, but fun to say words.

Now that we have dashboard cams, we can close our eyes and still not miss a thing.

I can never forget Shane Black coming into my Theatre 5 class at UCLA in 1988 and telling a group of freshmen just how much he hated Hollywood on the heels of Lethal Weapon. The one thing he spoke of very fondly was “The Monster Squad,” co-written and directed by his friend, Fred Dekker.

Not to mention the marketing issues in branding “Omron”...

Omron? Omron? Could they have picked a more Evil SciFi corporate name for their company that is making robots that will give us humans more “free time”?

My spouse and I could not move forward without perfect agreement on the importance and awesomeness of Labyrinth.

And Luke Skywalker.

It would be the Mi-Go, actually...

I’ve been reading this book like clockwork since my early teens (that’s three decades...). If you’ve never read Sladek, you’re not alone. But if you’ve never read Sladek, you’re missing out on one of the truly great sci-fi satirists of all time. Tik-Tok is a work of genius (as is Roderick, but for different reasons).

Perhaps you should try watching it again sober?

S2, to me, is the best comic book superhero film made. It is near flawless, getting everything right about every character and relationship. It is Raimi at his finest (and Elfman, too...I love the score so much).
