Also surprised no one suggested a last generation Nissan Pathfinder, they’re out there for $7500 and to me better options than anything listed. Basically a Nissan Frontier that seats 7.

Someone stole my wife’s 06 Hyundai Santa Fe which is not as nice as that Isuzu. Freakin’ degens man.
Fine for someone who is a collector of obscure electric cars curating for a future museum or some such, but CP for everyone else.
The Mirth Mobile, oh yes.
Spreading false information and bad science is harmful to the I’m sure thousands of head up their ass idiots who listened to him and agreed with this nonsense.
10 years newer, try 20, you could get so many nicer newer Corolla’s for that money. Who gives a hoot about a crappy engine swap, they didn’t even do a nice detail of the engine bay before and after. Literally dropped it in there added the rattle can hood and called it done.
You want what for what? GTFO CP
He’s using the best selling vehicle on the planet as an example, the point is valid. An x5 would outsell any EV BMW put out right now at probably some gaudy ridiculous number to 1, improving emissions on that x5 would also cost a fraction of what it would cost to build an as yet non-existent comparable EV.
This ^, I hate that people still make that argument. Why bother with ICE? Because its still like 99% of cars sold and cutting emissions across your entire fleet improves more overall cars. It’s also way more expensive to build a shit ton of EVs than to continue working on emissions improvements.
They’re going to decrease emissions by using 20% less chrome in their massive hideously huge grills.
Lower displacement engines like what’s in your Subaru don’t respond well to SC like turbos. Remember a SC is engine driven, so you are robbing engine power just drive the thing to build boost. Where turbos work off of waste gas pressure, you can do things like twin charging with turbos to build more boost. About the…
Efficiency is the key to turbos being more popular. You want to take a V6 and give it a boost to V8 power, but only when you really need it add a turbo. When you’re cruising down the highway and the turbo 6 isn’t working very hard you get greater efficiency than a V6 with a supercharger attached. Adding a supercharger…
That’s about the same price as a proper purpose built used Class B motorhome. Those also have half the mileage and way more amenities. CP all the live long day.
My dad paid less for an F150 XLT 2.7L Ecoboost Crew Cab. The Ranger, Colorado, Tacoma, Gladiator are all priced way too high especially when you can find deals on full sizes for less.
Did it originally come with a 289 though. I bet this started out live with the straight 6 making maybe 100 HP.
The Frontier is now a 16 year old vehicle as I believe it debuted in 2004 for the 2005 model year.
1 vehicle comes to mind Pontiac Aztek
There’s an extra 1 in your price you should really get that looked at. CP
It’s a cool little car and one that would probably be fun to tinker with and take to a cars and coffee, but $4500 that’s a big ol CP. That’s at least twice what I think this is worth and that’s only because it runs and drives.
Yes and no. If you were a teenager in the 90s and early 00s these things were like the Honda Civics, Preludes, etc of their day. They were relatively cheap for a teenager to pick up used and they had big motors to play with and make big power. Nostalgia has altered that some.
