2012 Was a whole new generation car with different engine options.  If you’re going to blast a car at least blast the right one.  We had 2 04s (one was totaled) and an 06 the 2 that weren’t smashed to bits by a semi(my mother walked away without a scratch) they made it to about 150k miles with not but regular oil

Running yes, but the interiors of everything GM made in the early 00s was crap and are probably disintegrating at a touch.

My wife’s 03 Sentra is way more of a crapcan than most 03 Corollas.  That generation of Corolla actually looked good too.  Not over designed like the current generation.  I think it pulled the same trick as the mid to late 90s Civic, just a good looking reliable compact car.  Way better than the previous generation

These are meh, but in no way the worst high volume car.  My family had 3 of these things and there were solid and reliable.  Change the oil ever 5k miles and fill it up with regular gas and your good for probably 200k worry free miles.  They have enough power to get up to and maintain highway speed at a reasonable

These are so ridiculously old now, I can’t believe Nissan has done nothing with them.  There was some promise of a diesel years ago, but in post dieselgate world I think that died.  This is a 14 almost 15 year old truck that has basically not changed at all.

I COULD, you know, just check my tire pressure at fill ups like I used to, but I feel 1000x safer with this system that only tells me I have a low tire, not which one or how low it is. Completely necessary technology. Truly life saving stuff...../s

Nissan Versa, they barely have enough power to get moving never mind quickly. The plastics feel super cheap, it is a hateful penalty box.
I don’t know if it was ever fixed but the bog standard 1.6L Ford Focus with the worst automatic transmission in the world. I work for a school district and we have a bunch of these

Might want to update your ad $39.98 ain’t $30. Still a fair deal, but about 33% higher price unless their is a coupon code I’m not seeing.

“Car repossessions are major bummers, and they happen all too often in a climate where auto dealerships prey on the financially vulnerable.” I don’t recall a car dealership ever kidnapping me and making me take out a loan on a depreciating asset. There are people who get into bad situations. They had the income to

Every time I have ever bought a vehicle, the dealer gave me multiple payment options and explained it fairly clearly. If you put $x down today, your payment over the next 5 years will be $x per month. You want to pay less per month we can change that to 6 years or 7. I wouldn’t call that lying. You either can or can’t

There aren’t many left that aren’t mostly rust.  These things were beaten and abused cause they were basic trucks.  I can’t count how many members of my extended family had one of these or the Blazer variant.  Apparently guys get graduation goggles for these.  Admittedly I would rather buy a solid body with no motor

You have to really baby these to keep them from turning to piles of rust. For that much money this thing needs to be in near perfect original condition and even still that is a big pill to swallow. I think these are at about market peak, I can’t see them getting much higher in value, but I am probably wrong. Either

There is a reason there is not a lot of crossover between open wheel and NASCAR. Even between Indy and NASCAR it doesn’t happen a lot and of those who have there haven’t been many super successful crossovers. A NASCAR stock car is a different machine and I think the F1 guys are a little intimidated about driving at

There are plenty of short tracks that are basically flat and don’t forget Pocono is mostly flat.  Indy doesn’t have super huge banking either.

Not in a million years, CP.

I can’t even. so much this.

You, know maybe Toyota saw the way EV tech was going and was like this is currently a deeply flawed technology.  Rather than jump on the bandwagon, let’s keep working until we have something really viable.

“If you meet the expectations of women, you exceed the expectations of men.” This is some baseless sexist and insulting nonsense right here. I have higher expectations on a lot of things than many of the women in my life.
“3 coats of polyurethane looks fantastic on the kitchen table, babe.” - my wife

What I don’t understand about all of this is how was he able to get in the car in the first place? If the one on the inside doesn’t work how did the one on the outside work? Did it really lose enough battery between the time the door opened to when it closed? Is the outside system mechanical and the inside

If you think you can get that thing up to $2k for a beater I have news for you, the dead nuts reliable and reasonably safe sedans from the early 00s are in that range and I would buy those 100 times before I bought this pile.  I’m not talking the American junk either, the good Japanese stuff Sentra’s and Corrolla’s.
