I’m Greek, and I’m okay with this as long as there is an equally good choreographed dance to go along with the song just like in the animated movie.

Ah yes, the “historical accuracy” argument show up for an adaptation of a 90's cartoon that was itself loosely based on mythology. How unsurprising.
Beyonce, Rihanna, Lizzo, Ciara and Normani.
Do it disney!
A man can only dream...
Nope. I’m good. Love going to the movies with my kids and friends. But I don’t want a COVID combo with a large drink.
“Go fast, break things” actually makes a lot of sense when you are testing radically new space technology. Make costly mistakes NOW when the only thing you are burning is money. Sometimes, you’ll SAVE money by building a prototype and seeing how it breaks than trying to perfectly model one for years and years, only to…
Facts are facts. Just because you don’t like them doesn’t make them less true.
Getting Musk off this planet hardly classifies as non-essential.
“Breakneck speed” is the key here. They’ve had a goal of failing forward quickly, and it’s likely that the data they’ve been able to gather will be a bonanza, not just for this project, but for so many other projects as well. There will be a lot of ‘this is what we tried, and this is what happened and why’ data sets…
Yeah but they weren’t a country full of misguided white cis men who went “(Minority) are taking our jobs!” instead of, y’know, seeing that their corporate overlords are to blame and should be subsequently doxxed, dragged out into the street and ripped apart by wild animals, lest they forget what happens.
That’s totally not a fair comparison. Rome was around for over a thousand years before its leaders went completely batshit. America doesn’t even have 1/2 that.
I think Newton’s fourth law asserts that if you invent a Bollywood background for a character, it creates kinetic energy that must be dispelled via a musical dance sequence featuring said character.
technically Pakistani and Indian people are not different (one could argue Pakistan received a taaaad more Turkish influence for a while), they just follow different belief systems nowadays, but since the Eternals are, well, ancient, and Pakistan isn’t older than 150 years, I doubt that matters in his case ;)
Nanjiani also explained that Eternals’ version of the character will be spotlighted in a massive Bollywood-inspired dance sequence (presumably as part of one of Kingo’s in-universe movies) featuring 52 dancers including himself, which, on paper, sounds utterly divine.
It could make for a very interesting real life parallel. Our gov’t right now is about as crazy as the people who took up the US Agent mantle, completely out of control, with little accountability, and an agenda that looks closer to fascism every day.
I for one think it is great that the reviewers pulled the film off and broke the device, stopped thousands of them from going into the market in a faulty state. It is a bit shocking that the testing or QM department totally missed this.
My dream for Squirrel Girl was this:
Of course Deadpool has to be in the MCU. Without Deadpool we don’t get Deadpool’s Guide to Super Villains trading cards, and without Deadpool’s Guide to Super Villains trading cards Squirrel Girl wouldn’t know who the bad guys are.
Let’s not call it the “Tulsa Race Riot” Regardless of what the folks who wrote the history of the period want, it wasn’t a riot, it was the “Tulsa Massacre.”
Yeah.
