I lift and have some ignorant questions: Why is the wide leg deadlift ok? She is reducing the vertical height she has to lift the bar. Also, the arch of her back on her bench is causing me physical pain. She is effectively benching with her legs and destroying her spine, no?

I’m officially an old.

I’m not allowed to wear dresses, but even if I could, this would make me look like a fancy potato.

Here’s a tip, clothing manufacturers: if your “summer dress” is made out of 100% polyester then it is not, in fact, a summer dress. It’s a dress-shaped sauna. Ain’t no one got time for that.

Blackface is something specific. I’m not really supportive of it’s continued expansion into more and more situations.

You have a good eye! I’m having trouble telling. Comparing her hair, they look very similar, but the tank top looks very different. This is like a brain teaser for graphics nerds.

But, even if the picture is darker, is it blackface? It seems crazy to dilute the term to that extent.

I’m no Kardashian fan, but is her skin tone that much different between those two shots? It looks like the checker shadow illusion.

I enjoyed it, though. There is a dearth of information about Lucia, so it might be difficult to write more concretely about the situation. I thought the writing was wonderful, though I am so removed from academic writing that it might be more refreshing to me..... 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Mine has a mustache!

Goebbels is German for Bannon.

Yeah it’s a weird choice. Although, this guy is making a lot of weird and bad choices, so at least he’s consistent.

And here I thought that Shakespeare guy is doing an amazing job and getting recognized more and more.

“Lucia, some suggest, was upset by her family’s betrayal, but that story seems to give too much power to Beckett, emphasizing the power of great men over the behavior of women.”

Virginia Woolf’s On Being Ill and journals make clear that she had massive anxiety about the quality and lasting power of her work as compared to that of Joyce - to the point that one journal entry mentions that a glowing review of his work in The Criterion left her so anxious that she was confined to her bed for days.

I would have been devastated if my family did that so I can understand how damaging that could have been to her in her already fragile state. I wouldn’t have thrown a chair but there are plenty of people that would, even today.

Seems to me like they actually tried everything they could to help her. James, at least.

I understand she is upset about getting fired, it sucks a whole lot and it’s scary not knowing when your next paycheck will come. But, this shit is extra!

This chick is messy as hell. That said, I recently left a job where the owners were a husband and wife team, he was the president, she was the HR manager, and it was dysfunctional as hell, so I do sort of feel her on that one thing and that one thing only.

I learned a rule from a friend a while ago, and have come to believe in it 100%.
