This section was filmed in Italy so highly unlikely to be a Vauxhall (though possibly an Opel)

Everybody who's anybody has watched the newest episode of Top Gear 16 times in full already, even if that's not physically possible. But it doesn't matter, because it was much better than last week's episode, and that's what we in the business call "great news."

- James May goes to Afghanistan

The Renault Master is a popular choice in the UK for emergency services

That must've been an interesting scenario at the Chrysler proving grounds, with a van hurtling away at uncontrolled speeds. And as the Promaster is available with 280 horses, it's not like it max'd out at a wheezing 30 miles an hour like the Europe-sourced vans from the days of yore.

Mezger was in charge of the TAG V6, which dominated Formula One in the late '80s in the middle of McLarens. One of Mezger's rare failures was when he mushed those two V6s together into an F1 V12. Pictured below, it again drew power out of the middle. The motor wasn't good, but it goes to show that the guy was in

No they're not, they are using the 2.0 units, Liam Doran's Mini used the 1.6 engine in and because he had 1.6 and everyone else was 2.0 he was given a weight reduction to balance the playing field because he was down on power

I'm sure I saw a couple Ds3's (Doran definitely did before the mini) then again it's been several months since the last rallycross I watched so I might've got mixed up with ERC

it was probably just some publicity stunt for Dodge and they wont return for a long time if ever, which as you said would be a shame, if these different cars drop out it's literally going to be ford vs citroen... yawn

ah yeah I forgot about that, would be good to see it compete this year though, did look pretty good imo

Yes its awd just like the rest of the cars in the 'supercars' class

Of course it is, the top class in RX is awd 'supercars' pushing 500+bhp

Nah I still think the Dodge Dart is the largest on the starting grid

No & no, tonight seems to be the hot hatch and the xmas special says 2 parts so it will be 2 hrs not 3

that section you saw is part of a hot hatch challenge, top gear posted a pic on their FB page of a Vauxhall Nova with grey camo on it in the same location

don't forget the pink pig :D

looking at the seating arrangement would say the 3rd door on the side is for the 3rd ow of seats in the back as they look like benches so doubt there is any form of folding hence the need for a 3rd door

simply put it has to be Le Mans, why you ask? because it gave birth to the most recognised racing livery ever... the Gulf Oil Livery

go for foobar, I used to use MM but I swapped as I was getting distortion and crackling through my speakers on flac files playing in MM, swapped to foobar it all disappeared and was working fine, had both on my system at one time to test and yes MM was the issue

I like to think it as UK TV shows are usually 6 episodes so that's a series which doesnt last long and US TV shows are like 20 episodes and lasts a season (eg winter, summer) hence naming it a season?
