That is a very generalised comment which is ultimately wrong, every car will have their own ‘most efficient’ speed due to the different engine characteristics, the transmission ratios also the cars aerodynamics will play a big part in it too

Simple fix, get a clear car cover then there won’t be any peeking as they can see what it is whilst it’s still getting protection from the elements
