My brother has MS and his meds cost 60 grand a year. We are so grateful to live in Canada where our system (albeit overloaded and flawed) provides care for all who need it without bankrupting individuals and families. Hoping against hope Trumpcare works out.

I’ve seen a few recent photos of her and I’m sure Alison Brie had some kind of work done to her face. She looks so different and she was so beautiful before. 

Obviously I haven’t seen Moonlight yet - apparently it wholly deserves its Oscar win!

I didn’t expect the film to move me so much and to feel so inspired after viewing. Critics seem to think the relationship is shallow, but it seems to me they understood each other, nurtured each other’s artistry, and their lives were transformed for the better thanks to their mutual love. 

Yeah sure, but her performance was lovely, uplifting, moving, and, later in the film, full of depth. Any other year I’d ask for more pathos and experience in a lead acting performance, but this year I’m so glad she won.

Aw, La la land was so lovely I truly wished it had won best picture.

I was born in 70 and I’ve been respectfully pointing out how precarious our situation was as women was since 85, only to be quickly dismissed because that attitude was deemed old fashioned.

We could all be saying a lot of things about Melania Trump, but we’re not, which I find refreshing. However, Michelle Obama has 1000x more credibility and grace. A great first lady and hopefully a continued influential presence in our world.

I’m a little disappointed by this actor coming out as a het person portraying a gay man (really, really well, no side-eye) on HTGAWM. Tbh I only skimmed his posts but given the lack of diversity, I guess I would have preferred a gay actor in the role. I’m learning a lot about myself this week.

I agree, I looked into Stevie Wonder, Billy Ocean too. So far, How Deep is Your Love by the Bee Gees seems closest to the song I’m looking for (“but they all should let us be/we belong to you and me”, that part).
