I'm glad you asked! It took a lot of hard work, but it was well worth it.

I think it's because the mystique of In-N-Out gives people an excuse to go there when they'd otherwise feel too classy or health-conscious to eat fast food. If you're a young upper-middle-class liberal, going with your friends to In-N-Out feels like cool cultural participation, and you can fake a smile while secretly

Sonic has a lot of nice drinks, but the food is bland - everything tastes like it's had all the flavor steamed out of it. You're not missing out.

"So you admit you haven't seen the emperor lately. There's a reason why everyone says his new clothes are beautiful."

In-N-Out is mediocre at best. The burgers are nothing special, and the fries are the worst fast food fries money can buy - and before you say "dude, order them WELL DONE, there's a SECRET MENU", remember that cooking shitty fries for longer just makes them shitty burnt fries.
