The rest of the NBA players were selected by either the Veterans Committee (or the temporary ABA Committee), a separate decision…

They should add the two games but only allow each player to play a max of 16 games a season. This would allow injury breaks for players and would be fun to see who the coaches rest on any particular week. Plus it wouldn’t affect historic 16 game season stats. Win win
