And yet, it's rare that names go the other way (once a name goes pink, people never rethink!). I suspect this just might have a tiny something to do with why "girl" seems to have such staying power as a term of insult between young boys.
I'm really pleased to hear it, but it's still something I have a hard time wrapping my mind around. I transitioned when the "disorder" model of GID was still in vogue, and then sort of disappeared away from trans and feminist spaces for a long while. It surprises me how much progress has been made in some ways but…

Gender dysphoria is NOT a mental disorder, and is only considered a "condition" because it's often correlated with stress and depression due to external factors.
I transitioned some time ago, and have dated exclusively men for about the last decade.
