I take it that E30 bodies were not galvanised anywhere?

I love how they make fishtailing-oversteer into a positive trait to show off on film.

It’s a very good question.

Aventurine green is friggin’ gorgeous

Agreed. Fortunately, they are working on just such a version:

Certainly some visual cues are retained with each generation ... bulgy fenders.

Yo, Cadillac.

Just wait until you see the retro-futuristic starlight coupe version:

Actually, I still like the 440, even if it isn't exactly cool.

Supercars slide past me, but that first generation Focus was an absolute revelation.

I can vividly remember the first Renault Espace. I’d never seen anything so wildly futuristic.

I’m also getting a lot of amusingly distorted ‘48 Studebaker Champion business coupe.

Just wait until you see that Fury / Belvedere’s face:

Yes. There's one other car we need to talk about much more when talking about the Cayman.

What am I doing when I’m committing “going inside a guard line with drugs”?

So Stef Schrader was one of the Americans there, right?

I must confess that I've only driven around the backroads of Kyoto-fu and Hokkaido. It may be different elsewhere.

It is worth it, IMHO. 70% of Japan is too mountainous to build on, and that's where you want to go. No traffic, few tolls and lots of touge.

Saw the pictures and my first thought was: needs moar MX5 and S660.

Do it- I’ve got a 924S, and it is indeed all that. Still not hugely fast by modern standards, but plenty quick enough given the fact that there aren’t any electronic nannies.
