Dumb Question: Any 'dutch oven' used on a burner can not be used for slow cooking (8+ hours) because even at the lowest setting, the flame is still too hot...is this true? I have a hard time believing I can walk away from some carnitas for hours without substantial meat scalding.

Fair enough. I don't have any problem with what Jimmy Fallon, an entertainer, did. Matt Lauer however, a purported journalist, was more demanding of Ryan Lochte, a swimmer, than a Presidential candidate.
