Does anyone here think the death of Korlll (BKA, the firing of Chandler Riggs) changed the season finale?
Okay, Walking Dead. You’ve done plot-important-but-otherwise-unexplained helicopters before. I didn’t like it then. I like it less now. WHO WAS OPERATING A HELICOPTER ON A SCHEDULE TO PICK UP TRASH WOMAN?! What changed that she has abandoned any knowledge of whatever’s going on there to join a local (?)settlement? If…
There’s something I have to tell you...
Far Cry 2? It’s still one of my all-time favorites, despite it’s flaws. And yeah, I know the checkpoints were terrible, and I too hated that aspect. I’m not aware of any valid excuse for such an awful system. And, due to hardware limitations (according to interviews from the developers), the world was missing some of…
Because fat people have historically been denied human rights and targeted for deadly violence...
I bought the game and regret it. Game is OK but really something I would have rather had in a humble bundle. The views of the development team, had I known, would have kept me far away.
For me it’s the level of jank that’ll ultimately keep me from ever playing it, much like Skyrim. I’m big on immersive games, but when frequent bugs, glitches, and overly gamey mechanics keep reminding me of what I’m doing, I start paying more attention to those and stop getting into the world I’m supposed to be…
Literally the only good thing about Kinja as a commenting system is the ability to dismiss replies.
So based on what you’ve read, the statements by the dev are factually incorrect, and yet you’re rushing to their defense?
I find it amusing that a number of people came out to reply to you that “there’s no controversy”. Surely these people should ‘man-up’ and stop acting like ‘precious little snow flakes’ by just ignoring the criticisms and playing the game they like? As they are so ready to similarly tell the ‘SJWs’.
That’s not what is being said. The point is that the game has become the subject of a political polarization due to a snow-balling confluence of statements made by the devs, design/writing choices, and the randomness of the modern internet.
It’s a dig at Bethesda’s world-building, not GoT
Am I the only one who’s annoyed by this “historical accuracy” defense and the motherfuckers just half-ass the architecture? Like that “monestary” was clearly modified over the centuries, they seem to just throw on scaffolding to imply it’s being modified right now to not have any creative vision of their own in how it…
I wonder what it’s like for these people, living their whole lives to spite “SJWs”? It’s gotta be exhausting.
And how is Wolfentstein suddenly SJW? It’s about, like, the most “alpha” Army guy ever, kicking in Nazi faces? Shouldn’t they be all about that?
Amen... they’ve forgotten that only the Sith deal in absolutes. This sort of closed minded cliche nonsense only hurts the cause of sanity in politics, pushing people further and further to the fringes.
“Hey bud, I know you want historical accuracy in your games, but there were actually non-white people in Eastern Europe at the time.”
Good, decent person response: “That is a valid point. We’re going to include some of these people in the game.”
Reasonable, understanding person response: “I understand that criticism.…
It’s a real shame. On some levels it is a really interesting game that shakes things up a bit as far as open-world RPGs are concerned. (Though yes, janky as one might expect from such a style of game due to the large number of moving parts.)
