An apparent disagreement with my belief that I should be protective of my kids if said belief projects fear onto my kids.
I want to be civil with this, and I'm having a difficult time doing it, but here goes;
Oh, don't think I don't agree. I know someone who's been in that situation. It's just that people seem to be more comfortable mourning the unwilling participant and not, to quote one person, "it."
If you want more rage, about 50% of the local news story comments have been either variants of "why are we not focusing on the poor truck driver?" or "HIS parents had a SON, that SON committed such a selfish act, and we should feel sympathy for HIS parents." (both paraphrasing)

You know what, screw him. Now I want to buy this for myself.
You rang?
I told my wife that one must really go out of their way to be a terrible parent/person. Still, it's troubling to find that a lot of people go that extra mile of shitheadedness.
I'M GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE.
