Well I was raised Catholic and we dont use bith control at all, the Baptists sing more, and the
Protestants don't pray to Mary , little differences. Some have communion every Sunday and some only at Easter and Christmas . I've attended other Christian religious ceremonies and they are all similar .

I think this is just being told from Offred's perspective and we only know as much as she knows . I could never see this happening in the Western World. For one thing we have artificial wombs and invitro fertilization now. None of this would be necessary . This book was written in the 80s and it shows.
