The hero we needed right now.

Yeah, the piece of information I needed here was “are the clips that will inevitably show up on the hub sites any good”? This movie sounds awful, but I am not above such things.

I also identify as “not a FPS guy,” but I played the 2016 Doom and loved it. I’m looking forward to this one (once I beat Nioh 2, I guess). The 2016 version was just beautifully thought out and executed. The vibe I’m getting from Sam’s reviews of this one is that he thinks there was a little too much thinking and

Yeah same. I had just gathered that it had become somewhat taboo since then. I’ve always associated it with a word like “gypped,” which we used casually as kids but came to realize it’s an ugly term.

Ok I’ll be that guy: is “spaz” an acceptable word to use in this context? I had kind of thought not. Perhaps it has been reclaimed somehow.

Fair point. I’ll give my opinions on your examples just to prove your point about subjectivity. I’d say that one can’t have a “breast fetish” because breasts/nipples are erogenous zones that may be more or less sensitive in certain individuals but are nevertheless inherently sexual. That said, I’d say one could have a

Hah

Certainly a fair point. To me, “aroused by hot sexual talk” is about as much of a “kink” as “aroused by the thought of having sex.” If 99% of people share it, it’s not a “kink,” would be my point. The letter may be trying to say more than it does: maybe they are saying that they need there to be sexual talk during sex

My understanding is that a fetish is by definition the sexualization of something not inherently sexual. You can’t have a “penis fetish” for example — that’s inherently sexual. So a “dirty-sexual-talk fetish” is not a fetish. It’s just a sexual interest. Am I wrong? Has this changed since we studied this stuff in

The name is right up there with Space Madness

By the time he got to the words “deal-breaker,” my eyes were all the way back into my head. Sounds to me like he’s looking for a way to blame his wife on the fact that he wants a divorce. I am sure it’s hard to have a fairly unusual fetish, but there are differences between fantasy and reality in this world.

I look a lot better with a beard, and I have sensitive enough skin that I end up with a lot of blemishes from shaving. At this point I can’t imagine going back to being fully beardless and shaving every day, and I’d be annoyed at being asked. But I’m annoyed at a lot of things, so if a partner made this an issue I’d

I’ll be part of a very mild backlash. I saw it yesterday. Thought it was beautifully done, especially the night shots. Cinematography is award-worthy. It also left no impression on me emotionally or intellectually. I don’t think it’s pro-war in any way, nor do I think it’s simplistic, but it did not speak to me in any

Titans y’all:

This is a small thing, and one that would likely have been worked out if this ever became a real game, but I hate the trope of “any ol’ vent fan is powerful enough to lift a human body.” Like, I realize it’s a fantastical game, but that was just slightly off-putting.

This looks cool, but has anyone been following this dude on Twitter who is making something in real time that’s similar and maybe cooler:

I played the hell out of Dark Forces. Fantastic game with great level-design. I also deeply loved the action of the thermal detonators, which was better than a lot of future grenade mechanics -- even in games coming out today.

Yeah, and it’s made especially weird by the almost back-to-back Titans/Texans games. Whatever happens we’ll get a pretty close look at both teams. Tannehill has been a huge surprise. I still always have the sense that the Titans are relying on big lucky plays (especially turnovers on defense and long runs on offense)

I’d guess the quantum pics have been most wrong — er reality has been most wrong — when picking the Titans to lose this season. As a Titans, fan, I hope reality continues to confound the technology and we keep having bizarre late-season blow-outs of teams that have no business losing to us.

Hot take: I don’t think “not after you see a client” is unreasonable at all.
