I had Criss Cross Crash when I was a lad. The expectation was exactly like the reality. It was the best Hotwheels kit I ever owned. It always worked and came with two of the best Hotwheels cars I've even owned. However most things don't work quite as well as they're advertised.

I do this with my phone fairly often. I just record a video with the flash on. Now I have tons of videos of random stuff in dark places!! It's actually pretty entertaining to go back and try to figure out what I was using the light for.

I made a wallet out of the plastic film thing that is inside computer keyboards. It looks amazing but I never use it because it can't hold my massive piles of cash.

Several years ago I got a standard air conditioner that was designed to be fitted into a custom-made hole in the wall rather than in the window. It was basically just a window air conditioner that slid into a metal box/frame thing that was screwed into the wall. After a few years the air conditioner wore out so I got

It's just a screen. Not necessarily a touch screen. If it is the new nano or shuffle it will probably still have the headphone controls, only now you will be able to pick which song you want because there is a screen.

Paddle Boat. Whenever I heard that I thought of those little two seater boats that each person pedals like a bike. It turns out they are actually called pedal boats. Ask almost anyone and they'll think it's called a paddle boat. I figured out I was calling it the wrong thing because I was pedaling one not long ago and

I can think of no reason why this sign is taped to a blanket/mattress.

I still don't fully understand how covering the antennae with something else will prevent it from losing reception when you cover it with your hand.

I tried to make my LG messaging phone loose bars by holding it a certain way. I only get one or two bars in my area anyways so I didn't think it would take much. I had to cup it in both hands covering as much of it as I could and hold it against my stomach to make it lose bars. I expect better from iPhones.

@oyanobaka: I'm going to start dismissing all of my silly typos as British English now.

I don't what kind of herculean optical drives everyone else is using, but mine wouldn't have enough power to do damage to a toothpick, let alone an ipod and its cable.

I would imagine that someone who goes as far as washing out Ziploc bags would probably own a compost pile that they should be putting that banana peel in.
