Something cool I could afford.

4th gear: Joe Gibbs Racing has been suffering a bunch of engine problems since development was transferred to TRD. Word is that development will be brought back in house.

The Volt's biggest problem is cost. If it were priced in the $20s, they'd be selling much better. But at over $40k (or over $30k with tax credit), they just don't make economic sense.

In addition to the first reply, they simply don't have the specialized expertise in fields such as armor or weapons integration.

I haven't been following this matter closely so can you briefly explain why we should want the financially troubled State of Michigan to fund a new bridge when private industry is perfectly willing to fund it, relieving the State of a financial burden it can't afford?

Yeah, let's raise taxes on those damn rich people. We could add a luxury tax on boats over $100k. Oh wait, we tried that in '91 and lots of "typical citizens" lost their jobs when the high end boat market collapsed.

How do you reconcile your depression comments with an annual automobile sales rate of 14 million?

5th Gear: The crash in home values could mean more money in peoples pockets. Lower values mean lower property taxes which have let people keep more of the money they earn to spend on other things, like a new car. "As for signaling - it's tough sometimes to signal, and some state laws acknowledge that it can be safer for the cyclist to keep both hands on the handlebars than to take one off to signal. Bumpy roads and braking both make signaling trickier."

I googled "splitting" and didn't see how it would apply to maximum_sarge's comments though I guess it might apply to you. He never said anyone has the right to "teach them a lesson" or even implied this. I don't want to be putting words in his mouth but what I got out of his comment was that if you just act

Heart clicky for you. You saved me from having to reply with similar sentiments. One of the few "starred" commenters that are actually worth their star.

If there wasn't enough room to pass with you riding on the side of the lane, how was he able to pass you when you were riding down the middle of the lane?

You're not allowed to carry anything in your lap during takeoff or landing. If it's small enough, you can put it under the seat but many people carry on these humongous bags that will only fit in an overhead - one of the reasons why the overheads fill up before everyone can stash their stuff.

Someone explained it in the comments.
