It does not work. Simple as that. No matter if some caestus turns it on for a while. Who would use such a weapon on high poise armor. How would that even be situational? Not working ever? If a rat can maul heavy armor guy to death because pretty much stun locked something is wrong and not working as intended(well

But that’s just it this is Souls not BB. You completely miss the point. Heavy armor is supposed to do something but right now there’s almost 0 reason to ever wear heavy armor. Absorption is mediocre at best and more often not worth the extra weight.

Bloodborne did not have this problem as there was no equipment load

So basically, “Despite the solid proof that the stat is literally turned off in our game’s files, we totally aren’t messing anything up, and we just decided to throw in a bunch of items to boost a stat that doesn’t exist. We think ‘hyperarmor’ is the same thing!”

Heavy weapons have hyper armor. You shouldn’t be getting staggered.

Ignore him, he’s a known troll.

Don’t mind him. He’s been screaming “GIT GUD” like a proper cancer of the souls community all throughout the comment section. As someone who has 100% on all soulsborne games, I am absolutely not impressed.

Souls didn't have ripostes? You clearly have no idea what you're talking about, the had it since the very beginning in Demon's Souls. Go back to Bloodborne.

FromSoftware is full of shit.. “Situational my ass” does that mean everytime I use the Caestus, that’s my situation where poise works?

It’s just like the above video shows with the weakest enemy knocking havel around.

I can tell you for a fact most of the enemies have poise enabled... when you attack a knight or a

How exactly is it unreasonable for players to expect that not only will a stat work the way it has in past games, but will in fact have a function at all.

Your = possession - IE. “That’s your sandwich.”
You’re = you are - IE. “You’re right!”

So in other words its working as intended that the game is 100% Fashion Souls, and that Heavy armor and the Vit stat are mechanically 100% fucking useless?

Getting staggered mid-attack is determined by your weapons “hyper armor” i.e. certain weapon types have a point in their swing where no matter how hard you’re hit the attack is following through to completion.

Dude. Your 7 or however same responses don’t get at the main issue... People don’t give a shit whether or not it’s meant to be more like Bloodborne. Kudos for having played it. The point isn’t “we don’t want to adapt.” The point is, this stat isn’t working in any way that players have yet been able to explain, so why

“obviously” = “having a stat that does nothing”?

What the heck are you on? I wasn’t talking about Strength or Stamina requirements for heavy weapons. Just that not being interrupted when swinging a slow, heavy weapon is helpful.

Players: “We think this stat might be broken, tell us what it does.”

Soo.. They intended for heavy armor to be worthless?

We did it on porpoise!

Ahh yes, the “Working as intended” conclusion, a developers best friend.
