Considering that gamers are the kinds of people who still think calling people "faggots" and making anal sex jokes their mothers are good insults, I have my doubts that crowdsourcing a punishment system to the gaming community will work out in the end.
When I bought my graphics card for my computer, a mini-HDMI-to-HDMI cable was included for free in the packaging. You shouldn't have to pay for these things.
