Not going to make a difference. You can't patent ideas. You can't patent execution methods (i.e., certain code segments or whatnot), but you can't actually patent a "slide to unlock" feature.

Hmmm...interesting that MIcrosoft is pushing gaming on the phone so much rather than it productivity features. And I mean that in a completely non-sarcastic way, because this kind of release is targeted towards the non-tech market.
