There are gendered expectations that guys should chase and girls shouldn't. I don't agree with them, personally, and guys are often called "creeps" (often perfectly justified, sometimes not) but this does mean that a girl chasing is more likely to be looked down on and seen as "desperate" than a guy doing exactly the

He came out as gay in 2006, didn't he? (Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course, but my twelve-year-old self was disappointed for very selfish reasons).

I agree! (wrote my comment before I read yours, lol)

What if she'd not wanted to go out with him, though, or already had a boyfriend?

And agree completely with the gender reversal thing. A woman doing that sort of stuff would be loudly castigated as being the desperate crazy bunny-boiling sexist stereotype.

Yeah, I could spend all day doing it. I've heard about Scientology (Tom Cruise is really into it nowadays, isn't he?) but never really considered it seriously TBH; a bit too "out there" for me :P

Sounds like you had an awesome childhood! I haven't heard of the "give your heart to Jesus" night, sorry (maybe we don't

You're welcome! I haven't heard of this band (probably because I'm 20) but I'll check them out, thanks :D *listens*

This. Is. Disgusting.

Haha! I went on a bit of a rant too, no worries :P I find religious things really interesting to think about for some reason.

Why did you decide to become a Christian (again, if you don't mind me asking)? And how do you reconcile stuff like evolution with the Bible? :)

I AM A BELIEBER

ARE U A BELIEBER LIKE AM I?

Ah, thank you! :) Sadly, I'm in the UK so can't go to that one (I'm actually an agnostic but I like visiting church now and again) - what denomination was it, though? I'll look for something similiar - I like big churches, but something that gives back to the community and charity as well rather than just trying to

Thanks. How much divine inspiration as a whole (if you see what I mean) would you say the Bible contains, though? I mean, if you're interpreting it, how do you figure out "That's right" and "That is definitely not what God must have meant"? I can see how religion changes according to culture, but, in the 21st century,

Yeah. I guess it depends who you define as "enemies" as well, though. Unfortunately, some Christians even seem to view people like gay people as enemies.

Fair dos. I haven't been to church as much as I would like (I also tend to vary them, as I feel weird going in one on my own and not talking to anyone week in week

Just to clarify, in case I was unclear in my last comment, I'm actually an agnostic (though I like reading about Christianity), not a fundamental Christian who doesn't "pick and choose" myself - I can see the reasoning behind not doing it literally, and if I were a Christian I'd probably be a very liberal one myself :)

I understand that, and it's a pretty cool view (though I can't agree with that kind of pacifism myself) but what about all the stuff the Old Testament teaches, for instance?

Why thank you :D

HAHAHAHAHA

Amazing.
