So how do you interpret it, then? Christian fundies who interpret the Bible literally are probably among my top ten groups of people I have a tendency to hate upon meeting; but at least they're consistent.

I agree with the sentiment of what you wrote :) but isn't being gay/being gay and fulfilling a fundamental human need (sex) considered a sin in Christianity?
Christians, y u always hating on gay people?!*
*Yes, I know, the answer is the Bible. However, from the POV of an agnostic atheist deciding their religion, it's a massive turn-off to me that people take a book written thousands of years ago so literally, as well as seeming to make no sense.

WTF
Just because you're gay doesn't mean that you speak for all of us who are POC/gay/whatever. /
Tru dat, but I find showing the full length version straight away tends to scare people off ;)

Yeah, this too.
This to a T. Certain races simply have oppressed histories that others do not. By overlooking this, and the effect that history certainly has on their day-to-day life, you're trying to wipe the slate of time clean on purpose.
Thank you! :)
That was why I told people to not "not see race," though. But you're right, if someone's so out of touch they don't see how being black/gay/whatever may lead to someone being Othered, they may not try to be more inclusive specifically because of it.
I've dismissed that comment; please don't reply further, I believe he's trolling.
Yeah - if you "don't see" that someone's gay/black/whatever, then you automatically ignore that part of their identity, which becomes problematic :)
Thank you! No - I just wrote it on the spot, lol. Perhaps I should go into it, though :P
"Treat everyone else as a person, regardless of their gender, race or whatever. However, don't claim to 'not see race/gender/sexual orientation/etc,' else you're only furthering the problem by eliminating their history and identity. And, if you can't 'see' any of those in someone without treating them worse or like…
I hear it all ended with her looking like
This.
