I want to see him auditioning for it vs. James Monroe Iglehart, as they did for Spider-Man!

I'm...kind of intrigued. It sounds like this one is actually being taken seriously? This actually moving to Broadway requires looking for people who can sing a show 8x a week - Vampire Bill and Allison Williams would in theory never be the types to be in the consideration set for this.
I love mad men but haven't heard that theory. Interesting. I always interpreted it more as dealing with death for the first time, feeling like baby Gene somehow was trying to replace him, and the swift, final implosion of her parents' marriage. Betty remarries almost instantly - life is turned upside down pretty…
I LOVE the Don/Peggy relationship, even when Don is being terrible. There is just so much between them, and I so appreciate that the show has always kept it platonic and work focused. I was a fan of Peggy since the beginning, but my absolute favorite early scene was when she bailed him and Bobbie Barrett out of jail.…
Haha. Well he does direct occasionally, so this may have been a personal pain point.
Yes, there was recently a NY Times interview with Kiernan and Matthew Weiner and he discussed at length the steps they took to be sensitive to her age. (such as focusing on "reaction shots only" presumably to scenes like finding Don in bed with the neighbor, or Megan's mother with Roger) The interviewer brought up the…
Oh that's totally what I thought! Moms and MILs are the ones who tend to reach peak insanity around wedding related events and etiquette. Most brides just want to get through it in one piece and enjoy everything.
totally! My husband brought a bunch of cigars to a friends wedding, they were a massive hit. They were in addition to a more traditional gift, but definitely made way more impact.
This - I got registry gifts for my shower, but actual wedding gifts were exclusively cash and checks. Who wants to lug dishes or towels to and from a wedding reception?
Your MIL sounds like the absurd one. Brides get one (if any) shower gift. If a bride has 2 showers and you actually attend one of the two, with a gift, there is NO WAY that you are somehow on the hook for a second shower gift for an event you aren't attending. Multiple showers are typically to help spread out families…
And they don't actually get the 'massage' as a gift. They get your $150, less the Honeyfund cut of it, as part of one large check at the end, I believe.
If it makes you feel better, the best man at my wedding my lived out of state. Our only expectations of him were that he get fitted for his tux, show up on time to the rehearsal and wedding, and return his tux when done. My husband handed him the rings just prior to the ceremony, he signed the marriage certificate…
Thanks for sharing this sweet memory of your Dad!
Being religious doesn't automatically mean someone is a garbage person, or a Duggar wannabe or something extreme like that. It's not for everyone, of course, but I know plenty of totally normal people whose faith is a big part of their lives. They aren't all holier than thou bible thumpers either. It can be done.
I feel the same way about Will Ferrell. (Well... Except for the looks, sorry Will!) Just genuinely pleasant, down to earth dudes who can be very funny. Will Ferrell/The Rock buddy movie please!
Not sure what state you are in, but my husband went to a bachelor party that was an all day fishing charter, and they had a blast. Most of the guys never fish, they just enjoyed being together out on a boat drinking beers. they had dinner at a restaurant that would cook what they caught, in addition to plenty of other…
True, it's not Platinum, etc. but it's one of their biggest cobrand cards and a nice entry level product for people to the brand. It's also effectively fee free when you consider that Costco membership covers the card fee. I don't know how many will be jumping to spend $100+ (Almost $500 for Platinum) on fee based…
Costco has ginormous boxes of Tates cookies. I love Costco.
She seems like a (very) poor mans Jennifer Lawrence in terms of casting.
Oh absolutely. It's Amex who is going to have some problems with Costco die hards dropping them for Visa. Amex doesn't really have a great alternative for them, since the #1 reason to have that card was the cash back option that was fulfilled at Costco.
