Plus poor people can have allergies too! Yep, there’s loads of great meals I could make on a budget theoretically, but when you have to leave out anything with flour (because I have coeliacs), chicken and milk (ex-partner was allergic) it becomes so much harder to even think about healthy meals. Pack of hot dogs and…
*nods* and it doesn’t help. I spend all my time reading about Bannon and coups, then I just feel hopeless and apathetic. So I read about Kardashians or look at pictures of ferrets in between.
I don’t consider celebrity gossip to be breaking news, but it’s sometimes interesting and right now? It’s a bloody good break from the ongoing horror show that is the current geo-political situation. I am fairly politically informed (or try to be), but between Brexit, the local snap election, and the tiny-handed…
I hear that brings luck. Or at least excited squeaking noises.
Her lie didn’t get Emmett Till murdered though. Two racists killed him because they wanted to kill him (supposedly he whistled at her, but I suspect he was just in the same space and that was reason enough for them). She concocted her lie about the assault to get her husband off the murder charges.
Cillit Bang definitely did them one better on sexy cleaning dudes.
Yes, but it was still an odd, and inaccurate, phrase to use.
Thanks. Sorry to be a pedant, but this case - and Geimer’s desire to move away from it - can get a bit ugly sometimes. So...I pedant’d you.
*nods* It’s the kind of statement you need to get the phrasing right on, I think.
*pukes along with you*
“Samantha Geimer, Polanski’s victim, has since made amends with the director...”
It was so good. Usually I hate those ‘ha ha, we were lying to you all the time!’ shows, but this was so perfectly done.
It’s hard to speculate on anything, since everything Michael told Eleanor could be a lie designed to dismay her more. However, we can assume that what he said about it being really difficult to get into the Good Place was true. Tahani and Chidi were not as good as THEY thought they were, but they weren’t particularly…
Oh, I think Michael did really enjoy them...as well as secretly torturing him. The Bad Place demons all seemed to really enjoy the whole game of it.
I am pretty sure Trump hasn’t eaten non-spat in food in years. Melania probably not since she married ol’ Donkey Donnie.
It’s more... You know when you watch the Youtube video of someone doing something stupid and they get hurt (like that dude that jumps off buildings mucking up his landing and wrecking his feet). There’s a detached pity, but at the same time they made these choices and knew the risks. I can feel sorry for Melania…
The horrible thing is that I’m not sure who to root for! Don’t get me wrong, I love Eleanor and Tahani (and the scene were Eleanor decides they AREN’T going to fight over a man), but Michael tried so HARD. He’s actually come up with a really good idea and now he has to prove it works perfectly within one generation.
...why do so many people have stories about this! I thought it was bad on a hop from Belfast-London when a woman changed her baby on the fold out table and then stuffed the nappy in the pocket on the back of the seat. But apparently it could have been worse!
It didn’t work on me either - which is strange because I am quite suggestible. I think in my case it was more how easily distracted I am. ‘Listen to the sound of my voice.’ ‘Huh, nice smooth voice and wow you have big pores in your nose, oh I have to remember to get tissues, did I leave the oven on? The house will be…
