Good luck!
Good luck!
Have you ever seen Hitchcock’s wonderful classic “Rear Window”? Jimmy Stewart is recovering at home (not from sinus surgery) and his impossibly gorgeous and glamourous girlfriend Grace Kelly is loyally by his side. There’s also a great character actress whose name I have forgotten who plays his nurse/housekeeper.
The coworker said his doctor told him that medical grade yayo was a topical analgesic as well as a vasoconstrictor. So, yeah. Paulie was leaking pinky brown powder from his nose and got in trouble with Hyvee for fondling a display of watermelons at 8am on a Tuesday. He had an adult son as a minder, but dude just…
Oh yeah. There’s just something about it, not to mention the shots that are pure countryside porn, that really soothes any jangled nerves you might have.
I am looking forward to starting my Throw-the-bums-out-in-2018 organizing project! The first thing I need is an inactive Facebook account and someone to sow me how to use it! I think I am going to hire a student for a local technical college to teach me, and rehab an old Mac I have sitting around the house to run it…
omg zoo. my favorite was when the jack russell stole the kid’s wolf toy and lured the dad out into the alley to get eaten by all of the other dogs. i love this girl but i can see her turning rull quick if we lived in the zoo dimension.
My husband’s septoplasty was brutal! Your tips are good ones.
Offspring. It’s on Netflix. Basically it’s an Australian obgyn with a family with zero boundaries and it’s great. The first season kind of feels like a stand alone show because a lot of the first season doesn’t inform the rest of the seasons. Like her abusive ex husband who is kinda played for laughs like oh he’s just…
Congrats! I know how major that is because I used to have a constant cycle of sinus infections and strep throat as a kid then sinus infections and bronchitis as an adult. I finally somehow stopped getting them without surgery, which was just dumb luck.
Watching master chef as we speak!
Good luck! Watch ideas: the most ridiculous show ever, but 4 seasons and insanely entertaining, “Zoo”. I think it’s on Netflix. Great show: “Mindhunter,” also Netflix. Been binging “Top Chef” on Hulu. Seconding “Leverage” from liquefaction!
Well it was my birthday yesterday and I am treating myself to a haircut and colouring (hiding the gray roots) on Tuesday which will be my highlight of the week! Also am on week 2of a three week holiday so all around wonderful.
I joined a ski club and everyone I’ve met has been lovely and social. They even have members who volunteer to be ambassadors to new members to help them feel welcome and answer questions. I’ve been really trying to make new friends since I lost my social life in my divorce, and it’s tough! I’m looking forward to…
Have your recovery space ready and waiting, and your Netflix queue prepped and ready to go. Have a nice cozy spot with blankets, snacks and the remote all within arms reach. Have you watched Godless yet?
I missed the recovery tips and TV suggestions thing. Recovery wise, stay as active as you reasonably can, but don’t be worried about being “lazy” and pampering yourself with warm blankets and hot soup while you watch tv. I just finished watching Godless on Netflix and it’s pretty decent. Merritt Wever is the best…
What are you guys looking forward to right now?
Oh man I’m super excited for you. The only person I’ve ever met who had surgery for similar sinus issues had something he called a ‘cavity scrape’ and then the doctor packed his entire (!) nasal (!) cavity (!) with (!) cocaine !!!!!
I have two trips planned for two weekends in a row with my dogs! Training assessment in a new sport one weekend, competing in a sport we’ve had some success in the next. Getting out and doing stuff with my dogs is the only thing that keeps me sane.
I was going to say ‘starting my new job next week’ but I really mean ‘quitting my old job next week’. I would have chewed off my own leg to escape so I really hope my new job is happier. Good luck with the surgery! I get a lot of sinus pain in the cold months and I know it is no fun at all.
Hey talon party! What kind of surgery will you be having? My dude had a septo-rhinoplasty last November. The Jezzies who responded to my SNS frantic call for advice were extremely helpful to me (I am seriously so grateful for the tips people shared). Tips I would like to pass on as my dude’s caregiver include: plan to…
