Wayne Goss (gossmakeupartist on YouTube) give some great advice and tutorials (and I mean real how-to teaching, not just a YouTuber applying makeup that looks good on her particular features and telling you the steps).

Re: fragrances, try determining the types of fragrances you like based on what has worked for you reasonably well in the past (floral, gourmand, woody/oriental, etc.). Marc Jacobs Blacquer eyeliner is the only marker that worked for me. It’s a strong felt tip (unlike the KVD brush tip), which is great for getting a precise wing, and the liquid itself is a super dark, glossy black. Comes in a deep brown-black, as well, if that’s more your speed.

Hell yeah, Yule log. My husband set up those weird Philips Hue lights in our apartment, and they have a setting to sync up with the log video, resulting in warm, slightly flickering light. It’s festive as hell.
