I can’t watch or listen to this because triggers but I’m happy it exists.

I am so sorry that happened to you but I hope this March is a little better and that next March is even better than the last.

You are not alone. Even though it has been years, you may find some solace if you can find a support group of other survivors. I found that much more helpful than therapy - just talking through some of the thoughts I had a lot and finding out other people who had been through similar situations had similar thoughts

I feel like you're missing the big picture. If you want justice for the poor, the fat, the ugly, you should accept the progress that the white thin pretty people are ushering in right now. I know you're commenting on Kesha specifically and didn't watch the gaga video but god damn. At least try and look at the end game

My heart breaks for you, me and all the other survivors. I had to play a game on my phone during the performance because my whole family was in the room and it would have wrecked me to absorb the full experience of the performance. You’re right — no one gets it. Lately, some abuse in my marriage brought what happened

Tbh, I think this song could apply to survivors of abuse/assault in general. As a survivor of mental and emotional abuse, it’s true that “until it happens to you” you really don’t know.

Say what you will about Lady Gaga but this song.... This song I get.

Yup, since there is undying sea of people who are comfortable coming on stage in front of millions of people. Do you really think they approached this like a casting call?

It is, however, far too often used that way by people who do not actually give a damn about any victims, male or female, but just want to shut women up. Both of

Maybe if we tear down any progress or significant moments the infighting will distract from the big picture and we’ll never get anything done...oh wait...

I’m aware of that. I just don’t think it’s okay for someone to tell a victim of sexual assault they shouldn’t speak out about it. Her performance was amazing, and gave a platform to many sexual assault victims. It’s kind of disgusting to see people hate on that performance, I’m sorry.

Powerful to be sure. AND ALSO:
