This is of course true, but direct language isn’t about convincing people of the truth: it’s about forcing his defenders to shut up. There’s no way to repudiate it when there’s direct evidence.

We also already knew he’s a misogynist. As you say, he’s already dehumanized people who are Black, Latino, Muslim, Jewish, immigrants and refugees, people who have disabilities, he’s constantly dehumanized and objectified women, he’s insulted war veterans.

He just fucking reiterated his belief that the Central Park Five are guilty. Despite them being exonerated. Despite someone else confessing to the crime. Despite DNA FUCKING EVIDENCE linking that person to the crime. He is a racist and always has been. Anyone who doesn’t see that is willfully ignorant.

You are exactly right and it is so enraging. That Trump is a racist is documented all the way back in the 70s. Just for one: He and his dad refused to rent to black people. It’s grotesque that people can even pretend that his racism is at all in question, regardless of his use of the n-word.
