This. I don’t even want to cycle on a dedicated bike trail on a sunny afternoon through the most beautiful park at the peak of the autumn colors. I sure as hell don’t want to cycle along the side of County Rd 70 at 5:30 am every weekday.

Not if that 7 mile commute involves getting across a river that only has 2 freeway bridges each built 30+ years ago with no practical way to add bike lanes without removing multiple car lanes.

Agreed. When you get cyclists actually using bike lanes only 4 months out of the year, and even then the ratio is one bike for every 25 cars, does it make sense to continue to eliminate car lanes for bike lanes?

Not to mention a real track record of irresponsibility. When left to their own devices, Europe couldn’t go 50 years without a sizable continental war occuring.

Putin is terrible, but it still does matter who is in office. I’m fairly neutral on Trump (yes, one of 3 people in this country) I think he has made some really good decisions, but he has also done some deeply inappropriate things.

I think you have been fed a severely distorted brand of history and it causes you to ask questions that are just plain silly to people aware of the real history of the 20th century.

Obviously appeasement is the answer... Except the Left has been claiming Trump is a Russian stooge for years, so how can they now argue he is being too hawkish on Russia?

I can’t tell if you are intentionally missing the point to be disingenuous, or not.

The reasons behind their shityness are of little concern, the cars were shitty and they all shared the same shitty parts.

Meh. Nobody would’ve cared about the intra-corporation sharing of powertrains if said powertrains were good. Just like nobody bitches about having to suffer with a lambo derived V10 in their Audi R8 today.

but so many dealers will do the “oh well of course that didn’t include Tax tag and title that gets calculated yadda yadda”

Honestly, all I really want is (in addition to the volume knob on the wheel) a volume knob on the console so I can still adjust the volume when I’m too lazy to be arsed to lift my right arm off the armrest.

That’s complete bullshit. If you think a new car buyer would buy a car (or lease) that fully fell apart after 5 years you’re nuts.

Have to agree. For the last 12 years or so I have been driving Audis while my wife has been driving Hondas. The Audis have been no worse than the Hondas from a reliability standpoint.

Agreed!

Disagree. That thing is a collection of a handful of artfully delicious individual design elements in an otherwise incoherent whole.

The vast majority if the noise being generated by an airplane flying by isn’t from the engine. It is from the propeller itself. Electric planes aren’t going to sound much quieter.

Some parts of it yes.

1.21 JIGAWATTS !!!

How was this done in 2013 if they used a 2015 Merc? I know they went fast but did they go fast enough to GO BACK IN TIME...?
