NP for the current market. I wish the market wasn’t what it was, but here we are.

This is a VERY clean 2 door Bronco from a very desirable generation. The interior is in nearly great shape, and an aftermarket head unit would be a nice modernization, anyway. Add a couple of 21st century conveniences, like a backup

Womp womp. Work for a fickle billionaire known for cutting staff at end of year to inflate productivity numbers... win stupid prizes.

“A reviewer shouldn’t have an opinion!!!!”

Cheap, well-maintained, and simple. Nice price. I would buy this as a car to teach a first-car teen how to do upkeep on a vehicle (maybe not as a daily driver, but at this price you can go ahead and get a base model early 2000's  Corolla to do that duty). And take it to Radwood (as others are saying) as a reward for

Get over it.

Aside from the fact that it’s on a low-polygon render of an 8 year-old’s notebook doodle of a “future trukk,” it’s pretty tasteful.

Well, I know it sounds biased to make fun of the owners of these ridiculous monstrosities, but ferrous fair.

I kind of dig it.

This is the part I don’t get. Where the fuck do you live where needing a bulletproof vehicle is actually a priority? Medellin? Moscow?

I guess it’s more important when you’re driving a moving billboard proclaiming that you make poor decisions and don’t care if people know you support a fascist.

Bring back the BRAT!
And offer an STi version.

Baja would be nice, too...

One other thing (had to make a new post because I missed the edit window): I consider myself to be a fan of Subarus. I’ll be driving my Forester to the Texas SubieFest this weekend.

But if I can find newer, nicer Subarus than this for less than that in my area, it’s either because A. we’re super spoiled to rust-free

...and yours (in a realistic market) would have sold for $2k. This is not a rare or especially desirable model, just one that’s well-cared for.

I sold a 2001 Lexus GS430 with nearly 200K for $6500 a year and a half ago. It’s ridiculous.

When the bubble pops, if this one is still on the market, they’ll be lucky to get

My favorites are the 3rd gen Foresters and WRX’s. They have the cleanest looking lines, without the odd proportions. Oddly, they’re the least popular among the owners - often because it’s perceived that this is when Subarus became “boring” in their design.

Someone’s riding that used car bubble until it pops.

The key was to use the multi-layer steel head gaskets for the turbo engines to replace the ones the N/A engine came with. It was actually part of the service bulletins.

It’s funny how among the Subaru crowd, the early models are more desirable - mostly because they stand out among the sea of anonymous CUV’s on the road. Ugly? Absolutely. Quirky? Indubitably. That’s the “charm,” as they say.

It would need to be closer to $3K. There are LOTS of these still around, being an unmolested N/A Forester with an auto transmission isn’t that special... the only thing that makes this one stand out is that it hasn’t really been used the way it’s supposed to (which is kind of shame, really).

The seats got better by the early 2010's or so. But these are the cheap “truck bucket seats.

I am #subienation, but this... is too expensive.
A N/A 1st gen Forester for 8K? I mean, yeah, it’s clean, but still.

It’s slow, and if keeping it pristine is part of your reason for having it, you’ll never really use it the way it’s meant to be used.
