The main problem is that they didn’t have tasers out... or any other non-lethal method. They had guns drawn from the very beginning. This was not ever going to end with an arrest.

Tasers, anyone? Pepper spray? Any of the other shit that cops deem okay to fire at unarmed protesters? Any one of the non-lethal methods would have been preferred. But hey, there were only MANY of them with guns vs. the one dude with a knife, so it’s likely the DID fear for their lives.
