So, they’re basically keeping up with fine British motoring tradition? My dad’s ‘75 MG does the same thing!

Bah! My Steyr M95/34 laughs at the Enfield recoil! 8x56mmR is where the real horse kicking is to be had!
While the rifles are significantly cheaper than the RE motorcycles, the cost of .303 Brit these days will even it up after about 5 magazines worth.
That said, google “Royal Enfield Military” and you’ll find another Enfield that’ll tickle your fancy if you’re into classics of the WWII nature.
Despite having spent 3 years for college in the Mid Hudson Valley of NY, and the two years after that living in the mountains of eastern WV at Snowshoe, none of my bad winter driving stores come from those areas where the snow falls frequently and in a great abundance. No, my worst winter driving experiences come from…
Nice! I wound up with the reverse commute when I worked in Tysons Corner and moved to the district. I could take 66 at my leisure because I was always contraflow to the HOV designations. When I lived in Fair Lakes, it took me an hour and a half to get to work. When I moved to DC, it took me 20 minutes.
Yep. I take 108 pretty much all the way from my house (Damascus area) to my job (Olney) and it’s a county maintained road so it was pre-treated yesterday and flawless this morning.
Yep, it’s not even THAT expensive in comparison to the car. It’s an Old Town “Next” and they run around $1k. I mean, they should throw that sucker into the mix and they could easily up their MSRP a couple grand and make even more profit!
I hope you enjoy being wrong as fuck:
Well shit, that’s a deal-breaker then. No canoe, no damned sale. If VW could give away mountain bikes and skis with their cars back in the 1990's surely Suzuki can give you the damned canoe.....
They know where their tax base lives. ;)
I wish that had been the case, but it was the other way around. It was the evening commute that got slammed.
Uh, yeah they were. All over MoCo you could see the brine lines from noon onward. Even the rural roads were pre-treated along with all the major interstates. In VA, they weren’t, but in MD they most definitely were.
Hyperbole aside, it’s still not as bad as the storm of 2011 that was similar in the aspects of timing. I spent 8 hours on the road to make a 45 minute commute from Leesburg to Alexandria that day. At least that storm had significant snowfall.
Just wait until tomorrow when all the same idiots ignore the blizzard watch and think they can beat the snow during their drive home again.
Rain has the same effect on traffic here in the DC area. Not quite to this extend, but there are always a bunch of accidents, especially if it’s been dry for some time and things like oil have built up on the roadways.
On the contrary 1) In VA the roads weren’t pre-treated, but up in MD they were and there were still that many wrecks. 2) Part of being a bad driver is not taking all the available information into consideration when determining whether to drive or not (instead of say, taking the VRE, Metro, or MARC), and if you do…
