I haven't seen this video since I was at least 5 or 6. Wonderfully-written article, those videos brought back a whirl of nostalgia. Thank you, AV Club. Also, where in the world are live musical accompaniments to The Snowman being played and where can I get a ticket?

God, FINALLY.

"…keeping in mind that he played a guy in a wheelchair who sucked his own dick in Scary Movie 2."

I'm of the idea that Stewart and Colbert are two sides of the same coin. Stewart is straight-forward, well-informed, and his "serious mode" the article mentions on "important guests" is, to me, what makes his show so stand-out. Colbert provides a great backbone to Stewart, being very similar to him except in a total

Wow. Britney Spears but no Radiohead on an AV Club list? When did I wake up in Bizzaroworld?

Very true. That would've easily made my top 10.

Which South Park Christmas episode will be done, if any? "Woodland Critter Christmas" is probably the craziest (and best), or you can't go wrong with the first "Mr. Hankey" episode. Or "Merry Christmas Charlie Manson". Fuck, can you just do all of them?

When I first saw Altered States, I thought to myself "this is like a David Lynch film that doesn't suck." Indeed, it was. RIP.

I love being the only one who actually really liked the BSG finale (minus one Kara/ghost twist and that awful epilogue). It's nice not feeling like 4 seasons of television were wasted.

The "Who Shot Mr. Burns" entry gave me a rush of nostalgia. I remember being a kid and being completely enthralled by that cliffhanger. I was so young that the concept of a two-part episode was somehow mind-blowing.

I agree whole-fartedly!

ACURA CAKE FOR EVERYBODY!

As long as the image of him cutting a fart is played under a Bob Dylan song, I'll still be immensely satisfied.

I've never watched House nor do I really care to, but I just wanted to comment cause I saw Lou from Rescue Me in the picture. So, yeah. WOOT and such.

Buffy's finale, which I haven't seen in a while, was flawed but managed to have a few perfect moments:

Completely agreed. That truly is the most tragic thing about finishing a show you love for the first time, that sense of not knowing what happens next to these characters.

Well, Soft Parade may not be BAD bad, just the worst Doors album. Shaman's Blues and the title track are the only songs I'd consider great, personally.

I got into the Doors a couple years ago when I saw the Oliver Stone movie and re-visited their discography, and officially became a fan. It was a couple months before I was aware of the pretentious, cult-like image their fans give off, so I played it down a bit and eventually realized a lot of their stuff was

He won't need a defense lawyer. He'll just chuckle like a crazy person and blink a lot until the jury eventually breaks and finds him innocent.

I "liked" that before realizing the horrible implications of doing so.
